A global solution to centralized content management and document archiving

As a global organization BP has a lot of different content management and document arching platforms in house. In order to streamline and standardize the related business processes, BP choose OpenText as the core technology for processing, storing and managing their critical business and transactional content.

BP relied on Delaware’s expertise to implement a centralized content and archiving platform, while connecting with over 70 existing SAP ERP environments and applications.

BP can now take full advantage of the renewed platform and centralize all different types of non-structured information, including the migration of all related historical content.


Optimize delivery of documents and drawings into core business processes in transportation

NMBS/SCNB is a Belgian public company which ensures the exploitation and commercialization of the national and international railway transport of both passengers and goods from within Belgium. The company also manages the rolling stock. NMBS employs more than 21,000 people and realizes a turnover of around $2,200 billion. The company also manages subsidiaries such as Eurostar, Thalys, IFB and TWR.


NMBS had a need for a solution in order to comply with regulations and safety procedures. (Train) drivers needed to have access to procedures, manuals and other types of key information. Delaware Consulting delivered a solution called Intelligent Driver Assistant (IDA). IDA helps the NMBS to improve the creation, management and distribution of regulatory information. IDA is a solution based on a single tablet which replaces the complete suite case of documentation. The solution also offers the possibility to target a specific group based on geographic location or language.

Exceptional fashion deserves an exceptional ERP

Scabal is an exclusive clothing and suits manufacturer within the luxury fashion segment. Because of the complex production process, combining mass-made and tailor-made fashion, a professional ERP-system was needed.

Relying on Delaware’s ERP-template for the Fashion-industry, Scabal partnered with us to replace their legacy shop floor system by SAP in order to register and follow-up on the production trail containing hundreds of activity posts.

On top of that, the commercial product configurator was connected to the new ERP-system allowing the automated and transparent creation of production orders, including an advanced capacity planning model with prioritization for specific orders based on complex algorithms.

Automating and reducing the complexity in purchasing and warehouse management

The University Hospital of Ghent was struggling with an increased complexity in its logistical and purchasing processes. Supported by the expert-team of Delaware, an advanced SAP-solution was implemented to manage centralized purchasing, warehouse management and material requests.

By fully automating this process-flow from the employee’s request until the delivery, a fully transparent supply-chain including cost and budget implications was realized. On top of that, the full procure-to-pay flow is now supported by SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).

At the end, the different users were trained by Delaware to use the new solution in the most efficient way, guaranteeing the acceptance and success of this project.


Committed to delivering quality, from implementation to support

Allnex partnered with Delaware Consulting for the implementation of its new SAP ERP environment. A template solution was built for the European plants and was gradually rolled out in other regions and plants.

In order to continue and guarantee the further quality of the SAP environment, Allnex wanted to have a support team of Delaware Consulting domain experts onsite delivering SAP support. This team increased the overall resolution quality while increasing the transfer of SAP knowledge to the Allnex key users.

A transparent set of steep service level objectives and KPI’s are constantly measured and analyzed resulting in a cost-reduction already in the first 6 months of 10% per ticket.


Combining onsite and offshore capabilities to increase the service quality level

Daikin had difficulties supporting its SAP environment which resulted in a decreasing service level.

Delaware Consulting stepped in to support Daikin’s SAP-applications. We reduced the ongoing risks, built a strong competence center including SAP domain experts (both onsite as offsite) and reduced the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

By introducing a dedicated group coordinator (dispatcher) the Delaware team took the responsibility to receive, analyze and dispatch every incoming issue. A dedicated onsite team, in combination with Delaware’s offshore capabilities, was installed to maintain the Daikin SAP environment.

As a result a higher quality of resolution was realized while increasing the service level and lowering the average cost per ticket.


Mitigating the business risks while lowering the cost of an in-house service desk

GSK was facing an increasing turnover of FTE’s supporting and maintaining the SAP environment whilst experiencing a deteriorating service level to a point which was putting the going concern of GSK’s Vaccines business at an unacceptable risk.

Delaware Consulting provided a single and fully dedicated service team working on site with the GSK Service Desk, working 24/5 @ GSK Headquarters. This resulted in Delaware Consulting substantially reducing GSK’s business risk through a sustainable team of SAP domain experts, on site, 24/5 at an affordable cost.

Delaware Consulting was able to reduce the number of FTE’s despite an increasing number of incoming tickets, resulting in a cost-reduction per ticket by more than 20%.

vandemoorteleIntegration

Vandemoortele

At Vandemoortele we implemented a central integration platform called SAP Process Orchestration. This installation automates much of the internal communication between Vandemoortele’s central ERP and the periphery applications. The first application interface was implemented by Delaware in 2008 and this grew during the years to follow.
 
In a second phase EDI communication was added to the platform automating the communication between Vandemoortele and their suppliers and customers. Nowadays +400 interfaces are running seamlessly at Vandemoortele automating a lot of their interfaces for CRM integration, recipe management and EDI communication.
